Please turn in your Bibles to Luke 1:39-56 (NIV)

Elizabeth teaches us about Hope: the Lord is with us and He hears our prayers

Mary teaches us to not be afraid. God is with us and He has a plan.

The two coming together teach us to rejoice. God is with us; we’re not alone.

Mary had every reason not to sing

 13 and pregnant

 Just travelled 80 miles

 Her story was scandalous and incredulous

FOR THOSE TIMES WHEN SINGING COMES HARD

1: Rejoice: you are not alone (V 41-45)

2: Rejoice: God is Mighty (V 49-53)

Mighty One = He is able

3: Rejoice: God keeps His promises (V 54-55)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
