Maxam Company Limited, the company at the centre of last month’s explosion at Appiatse in the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality of the Western Region has been slapped a fine of US$6 million by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. This is after a report was submitted to the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor after tasking a committee to investigate the explosion.
