We live in a world that suffers from a deficit of joy. As a result, we chase things that we think will make us happy, and while going from one high to the next, we never quite find what we are looking for, and only end up coming away empty handed.
In this podcast, I explore the difference between happiness and joy. And while there can be some overlaps between happiness and joy, we’ll see that happiness is ultimately grounded in temporary experiences. Whereas joy is an internal disposition of the heart, engrained into the fiber of who we are as a person. We’ll learn that joy can exist even in the midst of dark and scary times, and that joy can be the very source of the strength we have to fight out way out of that darkness.
Ultimately in this podcast we learn that there is good news for us at this Christmas season: joy is a gift of God, and that joy is for everyone.
