III. What is our response to discipline?

A (5a): Flippantly blow it off

B (5b): View it disparagingly

C (Proverbs 3:11a): Grab hold of it resentfully

D: We can embrace it gladly

God is treating you as His children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Hebrews 12:7b-8
