We welcome back for a conversation the Rev. Michael Newman, President of the Texas District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). Newman notes that there is a “pent-up” demand for new congregations. The LCMS has about 400 congregations in Texas alone. In the Texas LCMS, no new congregations were formed during the COVID difficulties, but more than 40 have been formed since!
