When we come to faith in Jesus we are given so many wonderful gifts. We’re given God’s eternal love in a world filled with hate. We’re given peace that passes understanding in the midst of a frightening landscape. We’re given hope in the midst of the hopelessness that surrounds us. Today we’ll remember that we’re also given joy. Note that we’re not necessarily given happiness...but we are given joy and a joy that is different from any other joy we know...joy “in the Lord.” That’s where we’re headed this weekend!
