"It means the making holy the ordinary things of life, affection and friendship, eating and drinking and merry making. And for me, Christmas has always been about being able to blend that story with the pagan joy of the yuletide season. When I first began my walk on the pagan path, the crooked path, I wanted to tie all my belief in Yule into just one day. I wanted pagan Christmas, Yule and the solstice to be all one and the same. Well, I was not very successful."
