Often the natural act of praise unlocks the supernatural exchange of heaviness for joy. Gratitude doesn’t follow joy; gratitude births joy. You can’t pout and praise at the same time. Paul wrote “Rejoice in the Lord always” from prison, proving that circumstances don’t get the last word—worship does.
