Ep #209 - JT McCormick, the President and CEO of Scribe Media, joins me on the show this week to share one of the most incredible life stories I've ever heard. His company, Scribe Media, is a publishing company that helps people to write, publish and market their books. The company has worked with more than 1,500 authors and was recently ranked the #1 Top Company Culture in America by Entrepreneur Magazine.

Prior to Scribe Media, JT served as the President of Headspring Software, which he helped grow to a multi-million dollar company with over 100 employees that was repeatedly ranked as one of the best places to work in all of Texas.

JT is also the best-selling author of "I Got There: How a Mixed-Race Kid Overcame Racism, Poverty, and Abuse to Achieve the American Dream." In his book, he tells the story of how he worked his way out of poverty, starting with a career cleaning toilets and eventually becoming the President of multiple top companies.

Beyond his role at Scribe Media, JT mentors at-risk youth in the juvenile justice system and youth living in low economic communities. His work has been featured on CNBC, Entrepreneur, Forbes, Inc, and many others. JT currently resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Megan, and their four children Ava, Jaxon, Elle and Jace.
