This story actually takes place in the middle of "The Coming of Chthon", a story arc from Justice League Europe #40-#42 by Ron Randall, Randy Elliott, and more.  Hal Jordan leads the JLE into battle against an ancient menace straight out of Greek mythology, so you know a certain Amazing Amazon will be there to fight alongside them.
