A journalist, writer and Argentinian advocate of public education for most of the 19th Century. She fought for a mixed, secular and methodical school for all social classes. She was the first woman to be a part of the National Committee of Schools, she ran the first Latin American newspaper made for and by women, and she became the a pioneer for the feminist movement.
