J R Rain fan extraordinary

I'm a 72 year old J R Rain fan. It started with an offer to purchase the Body Departed, which I found to be different but most interesting. I moved on to The Lost Ark, which I loved, The Grail Quest, which I wasn't as crazy about, and then Judas Silver. I loved this book. It was a most interesting take on what happened to the 30 pieces of silver given as the price for Christ. It held my interest through all of the travels of the pieces of silver. And the end left you wondering if there is a follow-up. For someone who wants to read entertaining books, J R Rain is your man. I have now read all 9 of the Vampire for Hire books plus the short story collection, and all of the books about his three male detectives. They are all good, entertaining reads.

Decent idea for a story but. . .

It was written very amateurishly. The story "tells" the reader everything instead of letting the reader experience it. The dialogue between the characters was very cliche and predictable. The reviews sounded promising but I was disappointed. Sorry, I know it is hard work to write a story.

Good for a light read

I liked most of his books which is why I read this though I've read quite a few about Judas& of course his 30 pieces of silver. Not a bad telling of so many stories on Judas' silver & an interesting twist to the usual biblical references.

Wild Ride!

This book was originally written as a screenplay and it really feels like you are reading a movie! I kept visualizing every 'scene' as if I was watching it on the screen. I kept thinking "they could really do some crazy special effects"! I was holding my breath most of the time! It was a great adventurous ride!

Good writing , but a add short story

Many of these e book authors are selling a short story as a book. This book(?) Was well written but plot, story development and conclusion were more like a short story .
