Jude is one of the most neglected books in the New Testament. In verses 1-11, Jude explains that his initial intent for writing the letter was to encourage the believers in their common salvation. The Holy Spirit, however, inspired him to exhort believers to contend for the faith, the body of truths passed down to the church from the apostles.
