After all that has happened, King Nebuchadnezzar still revels in the grandeur of his kingdom, but the Most High God will humble this prideful King. Daniel interprets the King's vision of his future demise, and 12 months later his fate is sealed, as this great King of Babylon is made to live like an animal, eating grass like an ox for seven years. It is only when Nebuchadnezzar lifts his eyes to heaven and acknowledges Yahweh as the Most High God that his reason returns to him. Do we ascribe all glory, majesty and dominion to this God or do we seek to establish our own kingdom of self?
