We begin our new sermon series on the book of Judges by reviewing the 500-year history of Israel leading up to the opening chapter. We begin with Abraham and the promises and commandments God gave to him. We see how God repeated these words to his son, Isaac, and then to his son, Jacob. Throughout the creation of the nation of Israel God never leaves or gives up but instead calls broken and sinful humanity to continue to trust and obey.
