Today, we investigate the underlying current of control by men in the book of Judges, where they attempt to supersede the work of God Almighty.  In other words, false revival wants to push against what God has established.  When this happens the voice of a prophet rises to lead the people out (Jotham).  The city of Shechem is being rocked by the wickedness of Abimelech, who is Gideon’s concubine son.  Abimelech makes himself king and slays the 70 sons of Gideon on one stone and attempts a power grab over the region.  Destruction comes to the people of the region; they cannot decide who they should follow.  Does that sound familiar?
