In this sermon we will look at scripture from Isaiah that Jesus quoted about Himself. He confirms that He is the servant of the Lord who will execute judgment on the nations. We will look at the context of that quote, what Jesus is saying about Himself, God, and God's loving judgment on the world.

We will pay special attention to this quote and see why it is such good news for us:

Isaiah 42

2 He will not shout or cry out,

or raise his voice in the streets.

3 A bruised reed he will not break,

and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.

Finally, we will see why God's judgment on us cost Him far more than it could ever cost us.
