The Sonship Place

Judgment Passes Over Sons Through... · Monday Night Gatherings

Listen Later

The goal of Christ was not signs and wonders. It was that sons would be reconciled to the Father and know who they are in the Father.

This teaching works through a critical misreading that has shaped how many believers approach Christianity: the confusion between Christ as miracle-worker and Christ as the one who democratized intimacy with God. The argument is direct. Moses did signs. Elijah spoke prophetically with precision. Neither was Christ, because Christ came to do what neither could. He came to correct every misconception about the Father, to eliminate the intermediary, to restore sons to the beginning. Any gospel that does not land on who you are, where you are, and what you are in Christ will inevitably produce a "plus doctrine" where something outside of Christ must now be paid for, prayed over, or performed. The teaching then turns to love as the root, not the fruit, of God in a believer. God is love. That is not a description. It is a definition. And a believer who does not know love cannot give love, which is why so many who carry the name Christian are the first to judge, the first to push away, and the first to manipulate. Law compels through fear. Love compels because it is the nature received.
