A greyhound whose story has been turned into a book visited Downing Street to raise awareness pf the benefits of children reading to dogs.
Danny Goes To London has been written about Danny the three-year-old reading dog from Wellingborough.
With his owner Tony Nevett, 53, the greyhound tours schools across the country to listen to young children read, with the aim of helping to build the child’s confidence in reading aloud.
Their work, which is sponsored by the Kennel Club’s Bark and Read Foundation, impressed MX Publishing which has published the new book for free. Author Judy Bee and illustrator Anna Kecskés also waived their fee to work on the book.
