When Judy Marks became C-E-O of Otis Elevator, she was handed a tough task: spin the 166 year-old division off from its parent company.

On top of navigating Otis’ separation from United Technologies, Marks was also put in charge of the company’s digital transformation.

So what was her first move? Travel the world and meet with as many of the company’s 69-thousand employees as she could.
