In the tenth episode of the StriveX Podcast, CEO Shaurya Sharma and CFO Arjun Verma talk about Juicero, a juicer that was designed to eliminate the hassle of preparing and chopping fruits by serving them in small juice packs. The idea was great in theory, as serving the juice in packs did not create a mess, and had much customization in regards to dietary restrictions, which again eliminated the need to purchase fruits and vegetables at your own disposal. However, it was the process of creating the juice concoction that received hefty criticism and would eventually force the company out of business. A single one-minute video was posted by Bloomberg, detailing how it was much faster and cheaper to dispense the juice by squeezing the packs with your hands, rather than purchasing a 400-dollar machine to do the work for you. Because of this, Juicero immediately went into the shadows and filed for bankruptcy. Was the Juicero a good idea in concept but failed terribly at execution, or was it simply creating solutions for nonproblems, leading to the idea being squeezed to death? Learn all about Juicero in this episode, such as the background, pros and cons, our thoughts, takeaways, and the future of this overengineered juicer. This is just the beginning of what is to come, and there will be more topics covered, similar to this, in future episodes of the podcast. Stay tuned!
