Julie is a multiple international Australian Athletics Representative, having competed at the Commonwealth Games, Oceania Championships and the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sport Federation championships

Turning her hand to coaching at 15 years of age, She was the 2019 Sport NSW Youth Coach of the Year.
