Julie Walters has earned a multitude of awards including seven BAFTAs and a BAFTA Fellowship, a Golden Globe, an Olivier, two International Emmys and two Academy Award nominations, with credits including Educating Rita (1983), Billy Elliot (2000) and Mo (2010).

In the first event in BAFTA's new 'Life in Television' strand, Walters spoke to journalist James Rampton about getting started at Liverpool’s Everyman Theatre Company, collaborating with Victoria Wood, and why fame isn't as desirable as it seems.
