There’s no doubt the stories of the Bible can sometimes feel like a soap opera. That’s definitely the case this week, as Herod and his niece-wife -- upset about their spat with John the Baptist over marital fidelity -- demand that his head be brought to their party guests on a silver platter. How are we to manage conflict and disagreement with one another? Even today, how are we to remain faithful and focused amidst such prideful, crazy drama?
