At first glance it looks like Jesus has missed his opportunity.  The opportunity has come and gone and Jesus has missed it.  He didn't get there on time; it's too late.  Why couldn't He just have been a little bit quicker getting to the house? They must have been devastated. 

God does His best work in seemingly hopeless situations.  With God, what seems like impossible becomes favorable.
