July 19 - We do not learn from experience... we learn from reflecting on experience

Some of my greatest points in life come from reflecting on what happened in the past. You get to think about what happened to you and how you reacted in that moment. From there you are able to think about how you want to move forward with your life. 

 

Thinking back on past relationships that didn't workout, you can think of things that you should have done better but it also tells you how you can make the next one better. When I work on a project and finish it, take time to reflect on how you can make it better the next time around.

 

When things happen in our lives, it's important to reflect and think about how to be better in the situation next time it happens. This is how we grow and develop as a person. If you miss this, you'll just stay the same and things will either stay the same or you will start to go backwards in your development.
