Jesse W. Johnson & Coyote Scream play hooky-yet-dark rock & roll with the tiniest little twinge of country twang. Johnson is a veteran of the Chicago scene, having reached local acclaim fronting rock trio Jet W. Lee. As a solo artist, Johnson presents tight, muscular songcraft with beautiful melodies and surprisingly dark lyrics. Most of all, Johnson does something not so common today, tell a story, and it’s thoughtful word choice in his music that helps the listener personalize each song. The band is touring the country this summer in support of Jesse’s 2nd full-length album, American Dumpster.
