5 loaves and 2 fishes. Thankfully one momma thought about packing her little boy a lunch for the day.  The crowd wanted to see tricks, and the disciples were getting hungry.  

The compassion of God was overwhelming.  Even though some people only followed Jesus to see what He could do for them, He fed them anyway.  Even after feeding them, when it came to the seriousness of truly following Jesus many turned away.  

They didn't just need the bread to fill their stomachs, they needed the Bread of Life.
