Joseph assumed his father was confused when he was
giving the firstborn blessing to the second born son, but Jacob knew what he
was doing. He wasn’t confused at
all. God revealed enough to Jacob for
him to change the order of blessing.
We can’t always know how God is going to use
our children and how our children might glorify God, but God does.
What can we do other than raise our children up
to truly know Jesus and see Jesus living in us?
Pray. Pray without ceasing. Not only for our children, but their
children. Pray for the ones they will
marry and how God will use them and pray they will choose to glorify God with
their talents and gifts that God Himself gave them.
Prayer is the one thing we can always do. It doesn’t matter if we are sick, disabled,
sad, busy, no matter what our circumstances, we can pray without ceasing.
