The bible reading today is in 2 Kings 14 and 2 Chronicles 25. Why is the record of all the kings of Israel and Judah included in the Bible?

Into the text...“Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he began to reign in Judah, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. ( And his father was the determined reformer, Joash.) And Amaziah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, “yet not with a whole heart.”
