Isaac’s blessing had been given away to an
imposture. As you read, think about the
heartbreak that occurred.
Describe the happenings that occurred in these
scriptures.
What were Isaac’s reactions when he learned he
had been tricked by his own son?
What did Esau ask of his father? What was
Isaac’s response and how did he describe Esau’s future?
Does this leave you pondering how Rebekah felt
after this occurrence. One son’s victory
defeated her firstborn son. It’s
difficult to understand yet selfishness and greed causes us to do things we
often regret.
Dear Lord, please help us to be ever diligent
as we live out our temporary lives here on earth. Help us to call upon you and rebuke the devil
as he seeks to destroy our families and us.
We look at the world around us and realize that we are in the midst of a
world that sees the decline of the present family and its values. Now more than ever, help us to be steadfast,
faithful, bold and stand strong for You as we share Your Word and witness to a
broken world around us. Bless us, O God!
