1,394 incidents were recorded for the 12 month period ending in March 2026.
Colac itself accounted for 961 incidents, with breach of family violence orders the most reported crime.
The Corangamite region recorded a 15.6 per cent rise with 757 incidents recorded.
Other theft was the the leading cause of offence with Camperdown accounting for 220 of the incidents.
