You can be busy, faithful, responsible, and still feel empty inside. That’s the church Jesus speaks to in Revelation 2. The problem wasn’t that they stopped working—it was that they forgot the joy of being loved. And the answer wasn’t to try harder. The answer is the same today: Christ’s grip on you is stronger than your grip on Him. The weary heart finds rest not in striving, but in the Savior who already finished the work.
