Jesus came into the world to save us, change us, deliver us, help us and show us that it doesn't have to be that way. Love, goodness, grace and mercy can rule in our lives. We all need God. There is no substitute. Remember that God loves you like crazy. He wants to bless you. We need to be open to receive those blessings in our lives. Jesus said, I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly.
