With Scripture read from Mark 5:21-43 by our new Education Director, Audra Warrick, today's sermon looks into the "Markan Sandwich" story of Jairus' daughter, and the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years. Both of these sound like terribly dramatic stories in their own right, but when they are brought together we find a story that deconstructs power and privilege, and teaches us something about Jesus' intentionality in making the first last, and the last first. It's rather much more of a big deal than you might expect, so please join us for this week's sermon podcast!
