Hey everybody! Welcome back for an emotional, disturbing episode of Queer All Year!

Today we're talking about more current events than usual: the murder of a 17-year-old, black, transgender girl, Brayla Stone on June 25th, 2 days ago. All of the press has dead-named her or referred to Brayla as he. Since then, a very transphobic person has gone to instagram bragging about murdering her and flauting the money he was paid to do so. Then all of a sudden this person decided it was all a joke. The media also pointed to her family's transphobic thoughts and this leads Cat and McG to talk about our own biases. We sincerely apologize to our black community, whom we recently misrepresented in our haste to present information. Cat also had huge help in her research from a brave Twitter-warrior: @1thirty1. Lauryn, we are big fans and would love to have you on one day! Finally, if you would sign this petition to bring justice for Brayla, or at least share this and tell people to say her name! She was Brayla Stone, not whatever dead-name they gave her!
