Friday night saw almost 7,000 people turn out in support of one of the greatest hurlers in a generation.

The Ken McGrath All-Star Challenge took place in Walsh Park as a Leinster All-Star team featuring the likes of Eddie Brennan and Damian Fitzhenry, defeat a Munster side which included Tipp's Brendan Cummins, and a Waterford full-forward line of Mullane, Flynn and Shanahan.

All the proceeds went to the Ken McGrath Rehabilitation Fund which was set up after Ken underwent major heart surgery in April.
