The Indiana Black Legislative Caucus will hold a series of town halls around the state over the next four months. Indiana Public Broadcasting’s Brandon Smith reports the caucus chair says the events are meant to help educate the public and gather feedback.

Indiana Congressman Andre Carson wrote an open letter to US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem Wednesday opposing Camp Atterbury as a potential place to hold federal detainees. The Department of Homeland Security said this week it is “exploring all options” to meet detention needs.
