Marin County author Alison Owings’ new book, Indian Voices, Listening to Native Americans, has just been published by Rutgers University Press. Owings is the author of Frauen: German Women Recall the Third Reich, and Hey, Waitress! The USA from the Other Side of the Tray.

She has traveled far and wide to bring us the stories of Native American people in their own words. The stories are compelling, and Owings' elegant writing keeps the pages turning. Rosemary Manchester, host for A Novel Idea, will be in conversation with Alison Owings, talking about Indian Voices.
