This is an in-depth look into the story of the Parkersburg, IA EF5 Tornado, which took place on May 25th, 2008. This tornado was on the ground of over 40 miles and devastated the communities of Parkersburg and New Hartford. However, against all odds, the story of Parkersburg is one of rebirth.

Jack Sillin is a Senior at Cornell University majoring in Atmospheric Science from the state of Maine. He’s been writing about the weather since 2011 and has built his skills in forecasting, communication, and programming.
Peter Forister is a Storm Chaser and Nature Photographer based out of Virginia. He's also an alumni of Virginia Tech's Department of Geography and uses GIS tools in meteorological research.

Andrew Pritchard is a meteorologist and storm observer from Illinois. He's a Senior Meteorologist in the agricultural industry and has been actively chasing severe weather throughout the United States since the early 2000s.
