On this episode of Tape to Tape, the boys go deep on everything that occurred from a busy draft floor in Vancouver. Ryan and Rory kick things off by discussing the P.K. Subban trade that clears some desperately needed salary cap space for the Nashville Predators, and also give their take on what’s next for the Toronto Maple Leafs after moving Patrick Marleau (and his $6.25-million salary).

As for the draft itself, the first-round pick of every Canadian team is examined. Vancouver’s history with Russian draft picks might be worse than any club in the league, but can Vasili Podkolzin change all that? Montreal may have found a real gem in Cole Caufield, while Edmonton, Ottawa and Winnipeg all went with defencemen in Round 1.

Finally, the boys put a bow on the entire event, highlighting some teams they felt left the Draft with a trove of exciting young players.

This episode was produced and sound engineered by Shoaib Alli, and hosted by Rory Boylen and Ryan Dixon.
