Juneteenth is celebratory in that our ancestors, who were once slaves, were finally free. This day not only represents freedom but the power of prayer, fasting and their cries. Although it’s celebratory, we are still reminded of the hate and injustices rendered unto our people STILL and STILL WE RISE!
