The Pea Island Preservation Society and Bryan Cultural Series present "The Sounds of Freedom", a celebration of Juneteenth at the Pea Island Cookhouse Museum at Collins Park in Manteo, Sat. June 19 at 5 p.m. Darrel Collins from the Pea Island Preservation Society and Metropolitan Opera tenor and Manteo native Tshombe Selby join us to talk about the history and meaning of the celebration, and give us a sampling of the free concert.
