Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note.
We are back with another Garden St Gin tasting box delight and another exquisite gin that one of us discovered in a local shop.
In this episode, we are tasting two different gins. We explore them the Juniper and Garnish way; tasting the gin neat, then with a big ball of ice. As a final spin we do the recommended and provided tonic and garnish for the Garden St gin (Backwoods Blood Orange and Bush Honey gin) and our own suggested tonic and garnish for the Bombak gin.
And one of us is not a fan of pickles. Can we still be friends? Stay tuned!!
Gins featured:
· Backwoods Blood Orange and Bush Honey gin: from the Garden St box, this one is made by the Backwoods Distilling Co. and features Australian blood oranges, silky local bush honey and carefully selected botanicals. Backwoods is a family run craft distillery based in Yackandandah Victoria.
· Bombak Pickle gin: uses Western Australian grown pickles, fresh dill, cucumbers and coriander seed to create a unique gin for pickle and non-pickle lovers. Bombak Distillery is a family-owned & run distillery located in Osborne Park, Western Australia. Their location is traced back to our immigrant Croatian Great Grandfather who set up market gardens on the land in 1946. The land was worked by three generations including their father and is again being used by the fourth generation to handcraft spirits.
