Jupiter, the planet that symbolizes luck, good fortune, expansiveness and opportunity goes retrograde this week. This indicates optimism, speculation and generosity may get put in check. It doesn’t mean everyone will tighten the belt or put projects on hold, but it may affect certain projects or curtail investment.

People with strong signatures of Sagittarius or Pisces may feel this more acutely, as will those with a prominent Jupiter. You can also look to see where the sign of Gemini is in your horoscope; this can show the area of life that most feels held back.

Jupiter will be retrograde until early February. It is not advisable to start a new business, launch or pitch an idea that you want someone to invest in at this time.
