Philippians chapter 4 and verse 13, Paul says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.“

I came home from vacation to find a jury duty notification in my mailbox. To be honest with you today, it’s about as refreshing as a mouthful of sand. So, I’m sitting here in the jury waiting room hoping, and yes praying that my name will not be called. After all, I have to be in Ohio in a few days and then there’s the radio, this radio that I’m doing today, due on Wednesday. But what if there is a divine purpose to all this, I begin to think. All things do work together for good don’t they? What if I need to learn something, or someone needs a divine word of encouragement from me? Yet in the stubbornness of my own heart, I’d still rather that my name not be called. Just a reminder that Christ can strengthen you, and it’s still time to pray!
