Born with a congenital right hand deformity and underwent a right knee amputation Began recreational canoeing/kayaking in 2011. Began training in sprint canoe in 2014. Started competing in paracanoe/kayak in 2017. When not on the water, she works as a pediatric prosthetist for Shriners Hospitals for Children. States kayaking gives her the "opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while pushing (her) physical limits" Hobbies include camping and enjoying the outdoors.
