This is an unarchived episode that I recorded, uploaded, and unpublished because it made me nervous. I decided in season two to stand by it and share it.

Admittedly, this isn't the lightest story to tell but it's been constructive in a way that has strengthened my resolve. When we hear about "true crime", typically it's in a detached tone for the purpose of mere entertainment. I think the more we are open about the ways life isn't easy and perfect, the more comfort we can find in knowing that we aren't alone in hardship. These things really do happen to people.
