We are so used to people not keeping their word, letting us down, and breaking their promises. (We are all pretty good at it, aren't we?) But God does not. He always keeps his word. He never fails, he never forgets. He never breaks a promise. Look into the manger. The promise of a Savior from sin and death was kept. And so we know every other promise of God is kept too.
This sermon based on Luke 1:39-55 was preached on the Fourth Sunday in Advent, December 19, 2021, for a sermon series called "Life Interrupted."
