I wonder if you have got Bamboo in your garden, wafting gently over your outdoor furniture in the patio? Well, be warned, for as Elspeth has discovered over the years, it seems to have a strong will to take over all of her garden.

However, if you are cultivating it to save our forests, and looking after climate change, bamboo is an excellent substitute.  As to its surprising habit of flooding your garden with spear like shoots, look out! And that characteristic even made Elspeth put pen to paper for a short poem.
